In this video, the National Population Commission made their first appearance to address questions from the Ordinary President, that their estimated records of the total population in Nigeria is based on approximation. In their defense, They clarified that they have an exact count of the population in Nigeria; and that their figures are not based on estimates. The Commission representatives explained that they use technology and census regulations to maintain a database for accurate population information. They provided statistical formulas for estimating the number of people and houses in Nigeria.
However, the Ordinary President remained unconvinced by their explanations and requested that they return with a more detailed and well-supported presentation to better explain the questions that will be raised by Nigerians.
