It is pertinent for a widow who desires to remarry to be very sensitive and watchful because many suitors have ulterior motives.
Many of them probably want to get married because of the wealth left behind by the deceased for his wife and children.
The Ordinary President educated listeners and viewers on the coronavirus outbreak in china. While speaking, he mentioned that Chinese do not see any wrong in eating creepy insects and the likes.
In fact, they derive so much pleasure in eating these things considered to be forbidden in other parts of the world.
They eat things like roaches, spiders which are considered to be extremely dangerous, rats, lizards, geckos and other things.
Mr. Harrison Jalla added that china got to make this destructive decision at the time they were not interacting with other countries in the world.
It was advised that to survive, there’ll be a need to feed on whatever appears to be edible and it became a norm that’s since been transferred from generation to another.
Today in China, a lot of people are being quarantined in order to prevent the spread of the virus until it is curbed.
As much as possible, our hearts are out to them at this moment but at the same time, people are envious of the emergency facilities put in place in the space of ten days after the break out.
This shows that the governing system is coordinated and deserves accolades because it seeks to protect the interest of its citizens.
Mrs. Olubunmi Oti called the attention of everyone to the hazardous roles being played by the Chinese in Nigeria. According to her, earlier this week, a visit was paid to one of the supermarkets owned by China citizens in Abuja.
On getting there, several expired products were unveiled and it was realized that innocent Nigerians go to but these products without suspecting or being conscious of the havoc it’ll cause in their bodies.
Asides that, another person described the way in which the Chinese have taken over the business enterprise in Nigeria.
Dr. Femi Balogun graduated from the Department of English at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1981 and secured a lecturing job at the Auchi Polytechnic in 1983 after his national Youth Service Corps.
While in Auchi Polytechnic, he served as a Head of Department, a Dean and Deputy Rector. He assumed the position as Dean in the school of part- time studies in 2003.
On the 5th February, 2015 while sitting in his office, he heard a loud bang on his door and senior staff of the college armed with weapons to attack Dr. Balogun.
They told him they were on strike and he had no right to remain in the office. This intimidation persisted until he was successfully dragged out of the office.
Immediately after he got away from the sight of the incidence, he drafted a comprehensive report and addressed it to the Rector but there was no response.
On the 23rd of February, a new rector was appointed for the institution; Engineer Buraimoh.
The complainant wrote a letter of reminder as regards the molestation he had earlier suffered in the hands of senior members of staff who invaded his office and threw him out.
The Rector responded and instead of proffering a solution, he wrote to relieve him of his office claiming it was the decision of every member of the union.
While all of these were on, he said he could not visit the school as his life was being threatened so he appointed a junior lecturer who would stand in for him while he continued with his research and publications.
On the 18th March, 2016 he was informed by a caller to leave his house as plans were in place to destroy his house. At around 8 pm, the call came and he left home to see the DPO.
While he was there, his wife called to inform him that the house was under siege and their properties were being destroyed by the same people who attacked him in the office.
After the attack, the DPO informed the Area Director and DSS Commander of the development.
He was accompanied to the scene and was advised to write a petition though the office of the Area Commander to the Commissioner of Police.
Arrests were made afterwards but calls were made in order to release those in custody. When the issue got out of hand, he had to go into hiding with his wife and children.
Engr. Buraimoh was then removed as Rector and replaced by Dr. Sanusi Jimoh. Dr. Balogun in May 2017 made a move and sent a report to him so he’ll have knowledge of the things that have been happening.
Eventually, a council was set up and in June 2017, he was invited by the new Dean who took over his former office and the Dean accused him of stealing a television set. The dean threatened to deal with him as he was in power.
In October 2017, the Council requested that he shows up for questioning. The Chairman of the council, Chief Oloyo told him emphatically that he came to sanitize the system and it was obvious that the services of Dr. Balogun were no longer needed in the institution.
He told him that he had been found guilty as charged and there was no way he could defend himself.
A member of the council representing the Minister of Education tried to defend Dr. Balogun but was cut short by the Chairman who disengaged him from participating in the council.
Unfortunately on the 7th December, 2017, he was presented with a letter of dismissal from the institution.
His properties were thrown out and destroyed. He began to depend on people for survival as people had to contribute for his family to survive the hard times.
One of the amazing things he said was that, the chairman of the council was eventually suspended by the rector.
It’s getting interesting because the Chairman has presented documents to be used against the rector who seems to be power thirsty.
Dr. Balogun stated that one of those who were dismissed at that time is now dead and that he was on the verge of killing himself on the 25th of January 2020 before he received a call from the Ordinary President requesting that he comes so that his case can get attention and so he can get justice.
