This man sits to narrate an unlawful dismissal from his place of work as he alleged to have done no wrong but was punished alongside a wrong doer. According to him, he was on duty one afternoon when he stopped a vehicle asking for his papers but the driver couldn’t provide any paper and instead threw a 500 naira note on him and drove off. Taking the money, he reported the case to his team leader giving him the money, that his team leader tore and threw away but when asked, the team leader said he (being the accused) collected the money from a driver and from there they searched both him and his colleague, found 1,500 naira with his colleague and dismissed him and his colleague saying their services are no longer needed.
He alleged that his colleague have been called back with promotion because he knows somebody but because he knows nobody, he haven’t been called back.
