“This young girl, featured in the video, was forcibly married at the age of 16. The man who brought her claimed that while traveling from Zaria to Abuja, she was crying and he asked her what was wrong. She explained that she was forced to marry a man who was already married. After the marriage, she only saw her husband twice. The first wife consistently denied her food, and when she reported the issue to the palace chiefs, they beat her and sent her back to her husband’s house. She eventually found a way to seek help and escape the situation.
