UBER, BOLT, TAXIFY DRIVERS LAMENTS : “WE ARE BEING USED AS SLAVES”

This video captures some men and women representing an association of drivers to make a complaint on behalf of the others. Beginning their complaint, they alleged to be partners not workers of Bolt, Uber, Taxify. That the platform have grown but takes advantage of them saying they started with a low commission until when they increased the commission to their disadvantage without helping to cover any expense, they only provide the platform to link up drivers and passengers where as it’s mostly to please passengers and even the security of the drivers are not assured as some have lost their lives.

They became subject to high commissions not considering the current conditions faced by the drivers in the economy in terms of high cost of petrol. This made the ordinary president decide to engage the owners of the platform to give them a second chance otherwise to indigenize the platform.
